The Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office Honor Guard Team is comprised of sworn officers varying divisions and ranks within the Sheriff’s Office. The Honor Guard represents the Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office at several special details throughout the year, including both city and county events.
About the Team
The goal of the Honor Guard is to represent the Sheriff’s Office with a high degree of honor, dignity and professionalism in adherence with the long cherished traditions of the law enforcement profession. Each officer must have discipline, stamina and present a professional appearance on a daily basis. The officers must also be extremely dependable and have ability to work as a unified squad.
As the face of the office, the deputies bear the responsibility of upholding the traditions of self-sacrifice, ethics, and a willingness to put others before self to make their community a better place for all.
Duties & Requests
The primary duty of the Honor Guard is to represent the Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office at Law Enforcement, Fire Fighter and Military funerals, parades and other ceremonies as directed by the Sheriff. Presentation of the colors, marching and the twenty-one gun salute are all functions of the Honor Guard.
