Rape Aggression Defense Systems (R.A.D. Self Defense) teaches basic physical self-defense for women. Certified R.A.D. Instructors will be teaching realistic tactics for women to employ as an option for defending themselves in the event of a situation where their life is in jeopardy.
The objective of R.A.D. according to its founder, Lawrence N. Nadeau is “to develop and enhance the options of self-defense, so they may become viable considerations to the woman who is attacked.”
About the System
The twelve hour class consists of a short lecture, followed by hands on instruction and ends with optional simulations (using protective gear). R.A.D. is offered *at no charge* to any woman in Brunswick County regardless of age (parental consent required for girls under the age of 18).
