The ultimate goal of the I.M.P.A.C.T. Unit is to educate citizens about current laws and techniques to deter and prevent criminal activities. We provide information on personal safety as well as vehicle, home, business and financial security. The formal definition for crime prevention is the anticipation, recognition, and appraisal of a crime risk and the initiation of action to remove or reduce the crime through public education. What that translates to is doing all we can to help citizens realize they can be additional eyes and ears in our community to help law enforcement and boost public safety.
