In 2012, former Sheriff John W. Ingram, V, began the Sheriff’s Tidings of Joy program. Two students from each of the schools in Brunswick County with Sheriff’s Office SRO’s are selected by their SRO, counselor and/or parent facilitator to receive Christmas needs and wishes through Tidings of Joy. Gifts are purchased, wrapped and delivered to the children’s homes prior to Christmas.

Sheriff Chism is excited to continue this important program with hopes that it continues to ease the burden for these families. He believes that all children should have a magical holiday season during a time that can be very sad and stressful for them and their parents. If you wish to donate electronically to the Tidings of Joy program, please see the detailed information below.

For Questions, please contact Sheriff Chism’s Executive Assistant, Felicia Woodard.
