The Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office A.C.E. Team is comprised of an eight man and woman unit of highly motivated individuals. They consist of three patrol/narcotics detection dog teams that are highly trained to detect, deter and apprehend criminal activity. Six of the eight team members are assigned to the Governor’s Highway Safety Program which are highly trained and proficient in detecting, deterring and enforcing impaired drivers, along with other aspects of the motor vehicle code.
The A.C.E. Team assists all of the divisions of the Sheriff’s Office to include but not limited to the Brunswick County Vice/Narcotics, Patrol Division, Criminal Investigations, Warrants and School Resource Officers. The ACE Team attends community meetings and events to educate the public of Motor Vehicle Code, Motorcycle schools and Seat belt/Child Restraint Education.
